The Associate of Advancement and Alumni Relations is responsible for supporting the Director of Advancement in all aspects of the development office, including activities related to annual fundraising, special events, alumni, volunteers, and administrative duties. The Associate of Advancement and Alumni Relations plays a vital role by providing administrative and managerial support to the Advancement office in all fundraising activities including, but not limited to, data base management, alumni and volunteer relations, direct mail appeals, prospect research, special events and social media.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform and manage confidential and sensitive issues related to donor relations, fundraising and communications.
Help create fundraising plans to achieve annual fund, campaign and legacy goals.
Support the moves management of the donor pipeline: identification/research; cultivation; solicitation; stewardship.
Assist in planning events (i.e. volunteers, Grandparents day, annual benefit, Alumni reunion, and phone-a-thon) including: guest lists; gathering and preparing registration materials; coordinating vendors; prepare updates and training materials; and other duties.
Cultivate and manage a robust Alumni and Volunteer group.
Conduct research on prospects: corporate, foundation, individuals and others.
Develop a SOP to utilize Raiser’s Edge for contact reports, gift transmittals, pulling reports and lists for events and other information. Ensure database is maintained and gifts, reports and correspondence are processed and generated in a timely manner.
Organize VIP lunches, tours and special visitor requests.
Assist marketing with collateral, website updates, e-newsletters and social media strategies to engage donors, parents, volunteers and alumni.
Coordinate productions of appeal letters, holiday cards and other departmental mailings.
Provide support to ensure department reflects the TVT mission, vision, brand, beliefs and spirit; and develop strategies to motivate, engage and create better relationships amongst TVT that will enable us to achieve department goals.

College degree and 3 years job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
Exceptional organizational, administrative and computer skills and knowledge of Raiser’s Edge desirable.
Ability to organize and prioritize own work load with little supervision.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidential and positive working relationships with administrators, faculty, staff, parents, students, school and community organizations, vendors, and the general public.
Requires flexibility to work some evenings and weekends.
