The Park School seeks a dynamic, flexible, and patient full-time Grade Level Teaching Assistant. The Grade Level Assistant is a member of the School’s Middle Division and reports to the Head of the Middle Division. This full-time, 10-month position comes with the responsibility of working with a grade level team of teachers and is responsible for non-instructional duties. The ideal candidate will bring an enthusiasm for working with children, history of collaborative, self-directed work as well as a good sense of humor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide coverage for all grade level carpool, lunch, and recess duties.
Provide substitute teaching coverage at your assigned grade level and other grade levels when grade-level teams get together to collaborate.
Work with small groups of students during the class day.
Provide support during classroom instruction and work periods.
Ensure that respect for diversity, equity, and inclusion is emphasized as a core value of the School, a shared responsibility in partnership with the School community and the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, in particular.
Respectfully engage with families and demonstrate sensitivity to cultures, values, configurations, and beliefs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Support rules for behavior, classroom procedures, and routines.
Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Creative problem-solving skills, a positive attitude that allows one to cooperate and collaborate effectively with others.
Familiarity with the Google Apps for Education suite.
Bachelor’s Degree required
