Tandem Friends School, a co-ed, Quaker, independent day school in Charlottesville, Virginia, seeks an experienced, full-time Upper School Math teacher for the 2017-18 school year.
Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in mathematics, computer science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. In addition, ideal candidates will have AP teaching experience and will be versatile in teaching first-year algebra through AP-level courses.
We seek an experienced classroom teacher with a background in curricular and pedagogical innovation. Responsibilities for this position also include collaboration and participation in a school-wide math department. Other responsibilities include regular department, division, and faculty meetings, and additional advisory, club and committee duties, including STEM-related co-curricular activities.
