Mid-Pacific is seeking a full-time Multiage Teacher to teach grades 1 and 2 for the 2017-2018 school year. Will guide elementary school students in their cognitive and academic development through instruction that is integrative, nurturing, and informed by teaching and learning standards. Mid-Pacific is an independent, co-educational, college-preparatory day school serving students in grades Pre-K - 12.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, with a major in elementary education or related field; a minimum of three years teaching as a classroom teacher in an elementary school setting; experience working within a collaborative environment. Must possess and be able to apply his/her knowledge and understanding of progressive education concepts as they relate to elementary students and incorporate 21st Century skills and concepts into daily instruction. Must understand the developmental phases (physical, cognitive, social, emotional) of young children and have experience communicating with parents to resolve student concerns. Must be able to collaborate on a team. Must be computer proficient with various programs (e.g., IOS, Excel, Evernote, apps). Mid-Pacific has a Mac-driven platform.
