Randolph School is seeking an enthusiastic full time physics teacher for an Upper School (9-12) position to begin August, 2017. This teacher will participate collaboratively and professionally with other faculty and staff to promote the general well-being of the school community in a manner that supports and promotes the Randolph School Mission.
Candidates should bring experience teaching science with hands-on laboratory work. The successful candidate must be prepared to teach students at every level of physics, including Advanced Placement, honors, and the conceptual/introductory level. In addition to teaching, the position includes advising individual students and assisting with science competitions, such as Science Bowl and Science Olympiad. The ability to work collaboratively with faculty, communicate with parents effectively, and teach a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) curriculum is required. The department expects a creative and self-motivated colleague with effective oral and written communication skills who has a commitment to lifelong learning.
Education qualifications: Preferred M.A. (science) or experience in teaching high school science-especially physics. Educational leadership experience preferred.
Minimum requirement: B.A. in science
