Tilton School seeks an experienced (3-5 years in independent schools) and energetic World Language teacher with a passion for developing student skills in critical thinking, communication, creative engagement, design thinking and mindfulness. The position includes teaching four or five classes and collaborating with department colleagues to develop curriculum materials and robust, skills-based assessments. The most qualified candidates will be fluent in both Spanish and French and experienced in international travel with students. Further preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate:
- Outstanding skills in oral and written communication
- Facility with educational technology
- Familiarity with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Understanding by Design (UbD)
- An eagerness to work in an intense, changing and supportive learning community
Applicants must be able to attend a week - long 1st Year Faculty Workshop in early August.
Other duties include: (1) advising, (2) participation as an athletic coach or activities leader for two seasons each year and (3) active participation in our residential program including, weeknight-weekend supervision.
