The Religion teacher will instruct students in kindergarten through fourth grade implementing the school’s religion curriculum. The teacher will promote hands-on learning and student-centered approaches to all lessons and activities. Working directly with the school Chaplain’s the religion teacher will collaborate and articulate the schools mission as a faith based Episcopal Parish Day School and help assist students in understanding how faith permeates everything we do at St. Francis. Additionally, the teacher will embrace and implement the Social –emotional-academic- learning approach in all classes and interactions with students. Working with the Chaplains, the religion teacher will assist in bible studies and chapel council activities and other events as needed throughout the school year. Based on availability the religion teacher may be asked to assist in religious instruction in the middle school. Supervisory duties of students will be assigned as needed.
