Director of Lower School Admissions at Wyoming Seminary
Wyoming Seminary seeks a highly motivated professional to become our next Director of Lower School Admissions. The successful candidate will enthusiastically embrace Sem’s mission, diverse culture and community, and serve as a compelling ambassador for the Wyoming Seminary Lower School.
The Director of Lower School Admissions coordinates the student admission activities from the Early Childhood Learning Center to grade eight. The Director is a member of the larger Wyoming Seminary Admissions team, reporting to the Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid and Lower School Dean. He or she also works in concert with the Upper School Directors of Domestic Admissions, International Admissions, Financial Aid and Marketing.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills and bring a “can do” attitude to the position. Familiarity with student recruitment processes and independent school marketing is desirable. The Director, in collaboration with the Admissions and Marketing teams, will maintain and grow the Sem referral network including, but not limited to, students, alumni, current and past parents, human resource professionals, real estate agents and school counselors. The ability to positively articulate the many benefits of a Sem education and effectively relate to children and parents is essential.
This is a 12-month position that requires work on some evenings, weekends and holidays. Salary and benefits are commensurate with the candidate’s experience and skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred
- Independent school admissions experience (3-5 years) preferred
