The Alternative School For Math & Science seeks a creative, collaborative, and technologically proficient middle school social studies and French teacher. Responsibilities include teaching 6th grade social studies and French to grades 6 through 8, advising, and participating fully in the elective and extracurricular programs of the school. ASMS values a flexible learning environment that supports the development of the whole child. Candidates must therefore possess a comprehensive understanding of and deep commitment to employing varied instructional strategies to guide the academic progress of each student.
An undergraduate degree in a humanities or world language related field is required. A graduate degree is preferred.
Fluency in French
Training or experience teaching middle-level students
