International School of Brooklyn, a language immersion and International Baccalaureate school, is looking for two native French speaking art teachers to teach art to Nursery through Third Grade students or Fourth through Eighth Grade students.
ISB has an inquiry-based program that seeks to infuse students’ art experience with exploration and inquiry. Teaching Art in the Lower School requires that the art teacher work in close collaboration with classroom teachers to help develop and implement interdisciplinary projects.
Candidates should be native French speakers, enjoy a collaborative work setting, and have experience putting in place an art environment that fosters individual creativity as well as one that teaches foundational art skills within diverse art mediums. ISB puts a strong emphasis on the process of working with art mediums as well as the finished products.
Candidates should have at least two years of teaching experience in a school studio setting.
