Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School, a private Catholic, all-girls, college-preparatory school, seeks a Director of Advancement, who is responsible for leading the advancement team and for the development and strategic implementation of all aspects of fundraising including, but not limited to, capital, annual, planned giving and alumnae affairs. Reporting to the President, the Director is a key member of the President’s leadership team and advances the mission, values, and strategic goals of the School through the work of the department. The Director will supervise the Director of Alumnae, Director of Advancement Services, Director of Annual Giving, Assistant Director of Donor Relations and the Auction Coordinator and establish a team approach to supporting advancement operations.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Knowledge of and commitment to embrace the mission of Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School.
Seven (7) or more years of fundraising experience in managing institutional advancement programs, campaigns, budgets, and personnel in an independent school environment.
Ability to manage a defined portfolio of major gift prospects to closure.
Proven experience in planning, implementing and managing a comprehensive capital campaign.
Experience in developing and managing staff, programs and activities.
Superior interpersonal, writing and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with diverse constituencies including School representatives, parents, students, alumnae, donors, and representatives from the community.
Experience with Raiser’s Edge or comparable fundraising database system as well as Microsoft Office.
Self-motivated with the ability to think and plan strategically and creatively.
Integrity, high energy, consistent follow through and an exemplary work ethic.
Superior organizational skills with demonstrated ability to set and achieve ambitious goals and meet deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree or CFRE preferred.
