Responsibilities include planning, supervising and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum in accordance with the philosophy of Brookside School; prepare a daily, well-planned environment with appropriate, meaningful, and interesting activities which stimulate children’s involvement in learning; facilitate children’s learning and play in a non-directive, positive, and flexible manner.
Must have a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education, Early Childhood Endorsement preferred, Michigan Teaching Certificate, and experience working with young children. Must be a sensitive and mature individual who is able to relate well to both children and adults, and have the personality and ability to provide leadership and stability for program continuity. Responsibilities must be fulfilled in accordance with Brookside’s philosophy.
