Reporting to the Director of External Affairs, the Director of Admission will oversee and participate in all aspects of admission, recruitment, financial aid, marketing, budgeting and retention efforts; manage a staff of 6, establishing goals, work plans and operations to meet the School's enrollment and tuition revenue goals; serve as a member of the Senior Administrative Team; and work closely with all Academy constituencies, including the Board of Trustees. The ideal candidate will be a data-driven decision maker, an experienced admission and financial aid professional, and a creative and collaborative leader.
A minimum of five years of admissions/financial aid experience; a master's degree or higher preferred.
Strong analytical and decision making skills.
Skilled in promoting a vision, communicating a strategy and implementing goals.
A commitment to being in and supporting a community which focuses on a student-centered education, a diverse representation of learners and a shared responsibility for the growth and development of students both in and outside the classroom.
Knowledge of and experience working with varied learners; the ability to interpret testing and neuro-psych evaluations; the experience to predict excellent matriculation matches.
A track record of working successfully with a variety of constituents, including parents, students, referral professionals and faculty and staff.
Experience successfully training, managing, and mentoring a motivated staff.
The ability to maximize technological tools for information and database management to reflect, project and forecast enrollment opportunities.
Experience determining the appropriate role of financial aid in optimizing enrollment attracting the range of students necessary to enhance this vital community.
A broad-based understanding of marketing that allows one to further an organization’s brand using increasingly varied methods including social media and inbound marketing.
A work history that includes speaking publicly on behalf of an organization to large audiences and in intimate settings.
The ability to travel broadly on behalf of the Academy.
