Makerspace Coordinator - 2017-2018 School Year
The Makerspace Coordinator is a supportive and collaborative educator who brings a growth mindset and strong communication skills, as well as a sense of joy and humor to the work that she/he does. The Makerspace Coordinator’s main responsibilities will lie in providing technical and logistical support to teachers. Please identify in your application which of the technical skills listed below you can bring to this role:
- Audio and video recording and editing
- Digital fabrication (3D printing, laser cutting & engraving, CNC milling)
- 2D & 3D digital design
- Electronics, soldering, robotics, and/or programming
The Innovation + Design program at St. Martin’s supports student-centered learning across the entire school PK-12 through fostering the development of critical skills and mindsets, including collaboration, empathy, and creative problem-solving. This past year, St. Martin’s expanded the I+D program with the construction of a first-class makerspace known as the Center for Innovation + Design.
Candidates must have a strong belief in the mission, vision, and core values of St. Martin’s and the Innovation + Design program and have at least 4 years of experience working with Middle School and/or High School students.
