Greens Farms Academy seeks a full-time Lower School Visual Arts teacher to begin in August 2017. The course load involves teaching studio art to grades PreK through 4. Through drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, and computer graphics, students explore themes and styles from across cultures and time periods. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in studio art, at least three years of teaching experience, a master’s degree, a passion for working with lower school students, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive community. The teacher will join a collegial Lower School faculty and a PreK-12 Visual Arts Department committed to fostering creativity, design thinking, and an interdisciplinary approach.
Greens Farms Academy is a PreK-12 co-educational day school of 715 students in the Greens Farms section of Westport, CT.
