The Advancement and Alumni Programs Coordinator is responsible for administering the Advancement database, always ensuring the highest integrity of constituent and gift records. Duties include gift processing, managing constituent records, preparing acknowledgement letters, generating lists and reports, recording pledges, generating reports and training department staff on Raiser's Edge (RE) procedures. This position plays an important role in supporting the Office of Advancement's work to strengthen donor commitment to Randolph-Macon Academy and long-term institutional engagement and investment among alumni, parents and friends. This position will also assist with prospect research and database needs related to any subsequent campaigns. In addition, the Coordinator is responsible for submitting and updating information from the National Student Clearinghouse Database for alumni college information.
Maintain Blackbaud Raiser's Edge (RE/NXT) database of constituent and gift records to support Office of Advancement's annual goals. Specific duties include:
Process gifts, record pledges, and prepare gift acknowledgement letters in a timely manner.
Query and export data for print and digital communications to support fundraising appeals (annual giving, planned giving, reunion giving), regional and global events, special correspondence, etc.
Explores sources for finding information missing in constituent records.
Assist with financial and biographical prospect research using online search tools, industry wealth indicators, and public documents; expand research capacity in preparation for future campaigns.
Ensure consistency of data standards and ensure best practices for data entry, campaigns, funds and appeals. Includes reviewing processes, table cleansing, and evaluating database use and functionality on an annual basis.
Maintain regular communications with Blackbaud to manage agreed support arrangements for database and online directories.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, development, education or school administration or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google products
Prefer Blackbaud experience

Founded in 1892, Randolph-Macon Academy is a co-ed boarding and day school for approximately 400 students in grades 6-12. The foundational principles of the Academy are: Knowledge, Leadership, and Character. The Upper School is built on a military (AFJROTC) format; the Middle School is civilian. R-MA is focused on providing strenuous college-prep academics, a structured environment, strong athlet...ics, and a full range of extracurricular activities.
