Westminster Schools of Augusta seeks an experienced, talented, energetic Middle School Mathematics teacher for the 2017-18 school year. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree in math and be able to teach honors level courses in Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1.
A degree in math and/or math education; Masters preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively with the middle school administration, middle school teaching teams and high school math and science department colleagues.
Ability to connect and communicate with middle school students and partner with parents.
Ability and eagerness to lead or assist in co-curricular activities (math team, athletics, or school club).
Ability and desire to lead an advisory group.
Strong organizational skills and insights on how to teach a class with wide ranging mathematical abilities.
Ability to use technology in the classroom as an instructional tool.
High standards of professional conduct, support of the Christian mission of the school and comfort in an independent school setting.
