Sage Ridge School is nestled in the foothills of the eastern Sierra Nevada mountain range in Reno, Nevada, right next door to Lake Tahoe, California. Located in south Reno, we are the only non-sectarian, independent, 4-12 traditional college preparatory school. Established in 1998, our school has quickly made its way on to national rankings of independent schools for its challenging curriculum and the success of our students. We currently have 234 students and 144 are in grades 4th – 8th grade.
Sage Ridge School is currently seeking a middle school history teacher who will teach 4-5 classes in middle school (7th – 8th). Class sizes are small (max 18) and ideal candidates will have 3+ years of teaching experience and/or independent school experience and excellent rapport with this age group. An advanced degree is desirable but not a requirement and an ideal candidate holds a degree in Education/Teaching and/or History. A full time teaching position also includes other duties such as: advisory, a week-long outdoor education camping trip, clubs, campus supervision, teaching a 2-week mini-enrichment class, and/ or other duties assigned by the Division Director or Head of School.
