The Beacon School, an independent day school located in Stamford CT for grades 3 to 12 has a summer program and we are currently looking for an Engineering teacher and a 3D Printing and Design teacher,both of which are elective courses. The students who would elect to take these courses would be Middle or High School age. We are also looking for a Robotics and Programming teacher for our summer school students who are in grades 3 to 5.
The Summer Academy classes run from June 12 to June 30th, 2017 for the first term. And there is a second term that runs from July 10th to July 28th, 2017. Teachers can teach up to 4 classes; pay is based on the number of courses you teach and pay is competitive.
Teachers are expected to produce narrative report cards for their students at the end of each summer term. The typical day is 10:00AM to 2:30PM but obviously teachers are only expected to be at Beacon when they are teaching.
The Beacon School student population is intellectually curious and capable and frequently students will have a very individualized summer program. Our Program offers a wide variety of course and allows the student to create a customized program to meet their needs.
All teacher applicants should have a Masters and teaching experience of 1 to 3 years minimum. Additional Salary Information: Beacon Summer Academy Teachers are paid by the course. And instructors can elect to teach up to 4 courses.
