Sacred Heart Greenwich is an independent, Catholic day school for girls from kindergarten through grade 12 with a coed preschool and prekindergarten. With a beautiful view of the Long Island Sound from our 118-acre campus in Greenwich, Connecticut, our 730 students carry on the Sacred Heart tradition of academic excellence and development of the mind, body and spirit. We are currently seeking a Manager of Stewardship and Special Events for the 2017-2018 school year.
Position: Manager of Stewardship and Special Events
Reports to: Director of Advancement
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Summary This newly created position reports to the Director of Advancement, but interacts daily and supports projects and events with other members of the Advancement Team. This position is key to the stewardship process as the work begins by creating and updating constituent records in the donor database, inputting all donations to the School, drafting, personalizing and preparing acknowledgements, researching prospects, and providing event support at a busy and highly dynamic Advancement office.
Sacred Heart Greenwich completed a major construction project (35,000 square foot Athletic Center) in September 2015 and ended a $22 million campaign in June of 2016. This campaign, the first in 10 years, was accomplished in two years. This highly successful effort transformed the culture of philanthropy at the School in terms of dollars, communication, outreach, stewardship, and genuine enthusiasm to support the School.
Two or more years of paid job experience.
Event, fundraising or marketing experience is a plus.
Special consideration is given to alumnae of Sacred Heart Network schools.
Must be detailed oriented and highly responsible.
Experience with Raiser’s Edge or a similar system is a plus.
Highly proficient in Word, Excel, and other office systems.
Ability to work independently, but also participate as an active and engaged member of the Advancement Team and the School community.
Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Occasional evening and weekend events.
This is a 12 month position.
