The primary responsibility of the Senior Associate Director, Parent Giving is to manage a parent giving program that serves to increase philanthropic engagement and support from Choate parents (including current and former parents and grandparents). This position is the primary solicitor of parents and will act as a key member of a dynamic Annual Fund team, working within the larger context of the school’s Development and Alumni Relations efforts. This is a full-time, year-round, benefits eligible position.
Five years minimum experience in the personal solicitation of gifts.
Strong familiarity with major gift cultivation processes, preferably in higher or secondary education.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership qualities with strong verbal and writing skills.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, be self-directed and motivated, and possess a high-energy level and positive attitude.
Ability to remain goal oriented while pursuing multiple projects simultaneously within constraints of tight
A collaborative spirit and strong team ethic; mature professionalism and sense of humor in dealing with donors, volunteers and colleagues.
Bachelor’s degree and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and database programs. Comfort with and interest in continued learning around new technologies a plus.
Ability to work evenings/weekends and manage extensive travel for events and prospect meetings.
