Francis W. Parker School is a renowned JK-12th grade independent day school. We are currently seeking a dynamic, innovative, and experienced First Grade Teacher to join our expert faculty for one year, covering for a leave of absence. Responsibilities include instruction in all major curricular areas: beginning reading, phonics, word study, beginning writing, handwriting, mathematics and social studies. Regular communication via newsletters, phone calls or e-mails with parents is expected. Coordination of educational plans through working with outside specialists is often necessary, as well as curricular modification in the classroom.
