The Episcopal School of Los Angeles Mathematics Department has a full-time opening for an Upper School teacher to begin in August of 2017. The ideal candidate has at least four years teaching experience, finds joy in being in the classroom, appreciates working with a diverse student body, and is interested in a career in secondary education. The candidate should be familiar with and/or eager to experiment in project-based learning (PBL) curricula, interdisciplinary studies, and the use of technology in the classroom. ESLA is an academically rigorous, socially-progressive institution; teachers are encouraged to situate their material in real world questions of ethics, social-justice, and equality. As we are a young school, working at ESLA is an amazing opportunity for someone with a desire to engage, hands on, in creating new curricula and programs.
