St. John’s Prep educates young men in grades 6 through 12 to live, be, do and stand for GOOD. As part of a professional, high-energy team, the Assistant Director of Admission will assist in the development, implementation and assessment of a strategic, data-driven program to attract qualified students for the High School. The position reports to the Director of Admission. In addition to the Director, the admission team includes two assistant directors and two administrative assistants. This is an excellent opportunity for a mission-focused professional with a desire to become involved in the life of the Prep community.
Assist the Director in developing and executing a strategic vision for recruitment, marketing and enrollment of qualified students from a diversity of experiences and backgrounds.
Effectively communicate the mission of St. John’s Prep to prospective students and their families.
Develop positive relationships with prospective families throughout the application process.
Cultivate relationships with teachers, counselors and placement personnel at all potential feeder schools.
With the Director, analyze data for trends to inform admission strategies.
Collaborate with the Director to recruit students from underrepresented minority groups to the school.
Work with admission staff to recruit international students. International travel may be required.
Collaborate with admission and communications staff to develop and implement marketing strategies, including video, digital and social media.
With the Director, process all application materials in an organized and consistent fashion. Responsibilities will include some data entry and filing.
Collaborate with Director to coordinate all admissions events (school fairs, open houses, admission testing, tours, student shadow days, coffee evenings, etc.).
Effectively communicate and engage colleagues, students, parents/guardians and school administrators in the admission programs.
Recruit, train and manage current students to assist with admission office programs.
Pursue professional learning in the fields of admission and marketing and ensure that St. John’s models best practices.
Serve on the High School Admission Committee to assess candidates and make admission recommendations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admission.
Two to three years of relevant experience.

Excellent writing ability.
Willingness to work early mornings, evenings and weekends, as needed.
High comfort level with all aspects of technology, including experience with database programs, Google apps, Microsoft Office Suite.
