La Scuola – Italian International School is seeking experienced, passionate and highly-skilled elementary school teachers (K and 1-5 grade)for our 2017/18 school year. We are an IB candidate school in San Francisco CA currently building a K-8 Italian immersion program. We are particularly interested in teachers with experience in PYP (Primary Years Program). Applicants should be able to plan for an inquiry-based curriculum, be strong team players and flexible. Final candidates need to be prepared for a teaching demonstration.
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Education; Master’s degree highly desirable
Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching in k-5 grade level, preferably in an immersion program
Bilingual and bi-literate in Italian and English with native or near-native Italian proficiency
Problem solving, creativity, excellent multitasking skills, and ability to thrive in a start-up environment are a must
Required Skills and Pre-requisites:
Fluency in reading, writing and speaking in English/Italian
Excellent verbal and written skills, as well as outstanding interpersonal skills
