Currently we are seeking a Director of Annual Fund to develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan for the Annual Fund and other development programs.
Create a sustainable tradition of annual giving support by developing a coordinated matrix of communication and solicitation strategies involving email, direct mail, phone/mail, personal visitation and volunteer engagement.
Work effectively with major gifts and leadership giving to gain strong participation in annual giving and help build strategies for moving donors to higher giving levels.
Coordinate annual giving with reunion campaigns and other specialty constituents, such as trustees and alumni board members, in a sophisticated and effective fashion. Establish metrics to assess progress of each program and evaluate each program quarterly.
Develop the annual giving campaign by setting annual dollar objectives; developing a yearly plan and calendar of solicitations; creating and implementing all annual mail appeals and online solicitations; and measuring effectiveness.
Communicate with donors and prospects by creating compelling content, disseminating information with various messaging and content channels (i.e, blogs, social media, e-blasts, surveys, newsletters, etc.); identifying opportunities to recognize and thank; and sharing updates on the School and its initiatives.
Communicate results by presenting updates and information to leadership team including Trustee Advancement Committee; reporting regularly at staff meetings; and as requested, provide status updates the Headmaster and members of the School’s fundraising committees.
Improve efficiency by analyzing annual giving reports; participating in goal setting activities; analyzing demographic and psychographic trends; and creating reports from the database.
Increase donor engagement (including students, young alumni, parents and families) by creating opportunities to become involved with the School; planning and hosting on-campus and regional events and scheduling personal visits for the purpose of cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
With other advancement professionals, expand outreach by planning, organizing and implementing a volunteer recruiting, training, orientation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies and programs related to the Trinity-Pawling Fund for all constituencies.
Increase overall donor engagement by developing and implementing annual giving special programs (including leadership annual fund giving, young alumni, senior class, parent annual giving, and phonations); by directly managing alumni and reunion classes.
Create and implement special giving initiatives to promote directed giving, leadership giving, matching gifts and increase alumni participation.
Manage a portfolio of prospects by conducting a pre-determined number of personal visits/month; nurturing donors’ interests and deepening relationships with the School.
Develop personal mastery by participating in professional development and networking to incorporate best practices, and reading professional publications.
Promote the interest of students by being a good role model, establishing and reinforcing clear boundaries and guidelines, encouraging students’ autonomy and independence and acting in a transparent manner.
