Berkeley Preparatory School is seeking a full-time third grade teacher for the 2017-2018 school year. The third grade teacher plans the instructional program and teaches lessons to whole and small groups that are both age-appropriate and address individual student needs. S/he will also work closely with grade level partners, specialists, and the administrative team to ensure all students make academic and social-emotional progress. Qualified candidates will possess 3-5 years of experience in classroom teaching and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. Experience with Reading and Writing Workshop, Word Study and Everyday Math is beneficial. A good sense of humor, a positive outlook, and an appreciation of the unique qualities of the age group are essential.
