Walden School, a small, independent, student-centered school, is looking for our next high school Social Studies teacher and student advisor. This position is tasked with implementing a hands-on, project-based social studies program that focuses on 21st-century pedagogy. A wide variety of classes will be taught including AP History and Social Science courses. Responsibilities also include participation in an advisor program that is integral to student success. Candidates should feel mentoring students is equally as important as teaching content.
Ideal candidates will have a master’s degree in education or related field, two years experience teaching in a classroom setting and willingness to participate in extracurricular activities.
