The Hewitt School, a K-12, independent girls’ school, is seeking a part-time (with benefits) upper school mathematics teacher for the 2017-2018 school year. The upper school mathematics teacher is responsible for teaching three sections mathematics, which could range from Geometry through Calculus. The successful candidate will have a deep appreciation for student-centered, engaging, and innovative teaching practices and will welcome the opportunity to collaborate with other educators in developing integrated, problem-based curricula. Experience with inquiry-based education is essential.
Candidates should have a master’s degree in mathematics or mathematics Education and a strong mathematics background. Candidates should excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a minimum of three years of teaching and curriculum experience.
