St. Johns Country Day School, an independent, college preparatory school, is seeking an experienced full time French teacher who is skilled in teaching all levels of French, including Advanced Placement.
The successful candidate will join two other French teachers in the school’s energetic world language department. The position includes teaching five French classes daily, with an average class size of approximately 15 students, as well as co-sponsoring the French Club and French competition teams. In addition, it offers the opportunity to chaperone trips abroad. Experience teaching primarily in the target language and implementing ACTFL proficiency standards and assessments are a plus.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in French, with three years teaching experience at the middle and/or upper school levels. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Additional Salary Information: The position is for the academic year starting in August 2017. A salary commensurate with experience, degree attainment, and qualifications is paid to employees annually.
