Sugar Bowl Academy, a small independent school specializing in the academic and athletic development of competitive skiers, is seeking a full time high school Spanish teacher beginning in the 2017- 2018 academic year. The teacher will be responsible for the preparation and teaching of up to five levels of Spanish (introductory to advanced), and electives to be determined. Job duties will also include significant involvement within the SBA community beyond the classroom including serving as an advisor for 8-10 students.
Prospective candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and the ability to teach introductory level through advanced level Spanish in a college preparatory program. A Master's degree in secondary education and teaching experience at the high school level is preferred.
Sugar Bowl Academy is a residential and day school serving 60 students in grades 8-12 located eight miles from the town of Truckee, California.
