The Abraham Joshua Heschel School is looking for a full time Learning Specialist for the 2017/2018 school year to work within our middle school division.

The Middle School Learning Specialist will provide direct educational support services and instruction to students experiencing diverse difficulties. Consultation with teachers to develop appropriate curriculum and classroom supports, collaboration with parents, and coordination of a team approach to problem-solving are also critical roles. Expertise in areas of teaching and learning, classroom adaptations, and the development of academic skills and executive functioning in young adolescents are important for this position. Familiarity with development of individualized learning plans will be helpful. A graduate degree in a field related to learning, cognition, and/or language development is an asset.
