Hawaii Preparatory Academy is currently seeking an experienced educator to fill a position within our upper school modern language department for the 2017 – 2018 academic year. The Chinese Language teaching assignment that includes teaching Mandarin levels from one through three. The ideal candidate should be able to teach competently the range of non-native beginner, to Chinese heritage speakers, and AP level Chinese.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three to five years of experience teaching Mandarin at the high school level and hold a degree in a related discipline. Boarding school and coaching experience are preferred. Upper School teachers at HPA are expected to teach, advise, and lead students according to HPA's curriculum and mission. Our teachers work with students on the continuous development of skills, attitudes, and knowledge required to make effective college, career and life choices.

This position may have boarding duties associated with the position.
