A full-time position for teaching faculty at The Webb School includes the following requirements:
•A teaching load of up to five classes (each class meets 45 minutes three days per week, and one 90-minute block per week)
•Coaching or working directly with other afternoon activities (afternoon program, drama, community service, etc.)
•Working with 8-10 advisees
For this position, we prefer an engaging, experienced teacher who embraces critical thinking and problem-solving. Many classes at Webb use a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience teaching Mathematics at the high school level. Involvement in the life of the school is an expectation of working in an independent day-boarding school environment, which at times will involve evenings and weekends. Qualified candidates for this position will have a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field with a master’s degree preferred.
