Founded in 1893, TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas is the flagship private school of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas. Located in San Antonio, TMI educates students in grades 6-12 and is the oldest Episcopal Church-sponsored, college-preparatory school in the Southwest. TMI offers an optional JROTC program, and 5-day or 7-day boarding for students in grades 8-12.

TMI seeks a Dean of Curriculum and Instruction who will work closely with division heads, department chairs, and other faculty members to coordinate, lead, and ensure effective curriculum planning and recording; and to identify and address professional development needs. This position provides leadership and support for all areas of teaching and learning. The Dean of Curriculum and Instruction is responsible for the school-wide articulation and cohesion of the written curriculum. The Dean of Curriculum and Instruction reports to and works with both the Head of Upper School and Head of Middle School, and does not supervise or evaluate faculty but rather advocates for, facilitates, and supports the work of teachers.
Master’s degree in education, preferably in curriculum and instruction (Doctorate preferred.)
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in teaching with additional experience in leading
training in curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
