Mid-Pacific seeks a full-time Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher for the 2017-2018 school year. The Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher will deliver innovative Language Arts and Social Studies instruction to middle-level learners in grades 6 through 8. The Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher must possess a breadth of subject specific knowledge designed to cultivate critical thinking, collaborative and communication skills in support of Mid-Pacific's Learner Profile. Essential to the success of the Mid-Pacific instructional program is the capacity to foster relationships with colleagues across the Mid-Pacific continuum as well as building learning connections across the larger community of learners. Essential to effective Language Arts and Social Studies instruction is the ability for exceptional oral and written communication skills. Mid-Pacific is an independent, co-educational, college-preparatory school serving students from Preschool - grade 12.
Qualifications and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Language Arts or Social Studies or a related field is preferred. A minimum of three years of middle level teaching experience in Social Studies and Language Arts is strongly preferred.
