Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School is seeking a Director of Auxiliary Programs. The Director will report to the Associate Head of School and will be responsible for integrating all existing auxiliary programs to maximize operational efficiency. The Director will also work to increase the school’s visibility with prospective full-time students, peer institutions, and other organizations in the wider community.
HIES is the largest Episcopal Parish day school in the country, offering a fully accredited college preparatory program for students age three through 12th grade. HIES is located north of downtown Atlanta between I-75 and GA 400.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Integrate the School’s auxiliary programs including all after school care programs (EL3 – 8th grade), STEP HI enrichment and Summer Connections programs. • Manage the short and long term strategic operations of the auxiliary programs to drive enrollment, expand and streamline course offerings and attain profitability targets. • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise program staff members ensuring that all instructors perform their duties with the highest level of care and professionalism. • Create and monitor all safety and health programs ensuring compliance with all Federal and State guidelines. • Provide faculty and staff performance evaluations and feedback. • Devise and manage the registration process for prospective enrollees. • Respond to disciplinary issues. • Create, maintain, and communicate all records associated with the auxiliary programs, as required by the school. • Partner with the director of admissions to identify and recruit qualified students from the summer programs for the full-year academic program. • Work with the business office to develop budgets and long term forecasts and to ensure the overall sustainability of the programs. • Collaborate with the director of communications to create digital marketing materials for the auxiliary programs, produce the catalog of summer program offerings, and generate enthusiasm for and promote the program’s success. • Coordinate with the director of facilities and the director of information technology to arrange for program facility and/or equipment needs. • Represent and serve as representative of the summer program at local events, fairs, and festivals. • Prepare appropriate summary reports for the school on an as needed basis. • Assume responsibility for other projects as assigned by the head of school.
Professional Requirements • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred • At least 5 to 10 years of teaching and/or administrative experience in a school or youth-serving organization • Supervisory experience • Successful track record working with a wide range of people • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach • Exceptional entrepreneurial and organizational skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Detail-oriented and able to work collaboratively • Computer literacy • High-energy and enthusiastic about working in an academic atmosphere • Proven track record as an independent and goal-oriented team member
