The Dalton School seeks an administrative assistant to the College Counseling office. This is a full-time, 12-month administrative position, and reports to the Directors of College Counseling. Anticipated start date: August 1, 2017.

Discretion and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality are paramount. Strong communication and technological skills are essential. An Associate degree is required, Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
Responsibilities will include:
Greet students, parents and visitors
Schedule college counseling meetings for students and families
Manage the calendars of three full-time college counselors
Update student records in conjunction with the school registrar
Submit documents to colleges, including transcripts and letters of recommendation
Update and maintain all aspects of “Naviance,” our college admission software system
Coordinate special events, including evening programs and an annual college fair
Maintain annual reports used in various presentations
Proofread materials sent from the College Office
Prepare physical and electronic mailings
Manage purchase orders and the submission of expense reports
Serve as a consistent and confidential resource to students and their families
