Indian Mountain School seeking a qualified full-time candidate to work in the school's Student Health and Wellness department, to provides counseling services to students in grades K-9. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providing individual counseling and psych-educational group work to students
Being a liaison with outside clinicians, parents and schools when necessary
Helping to find appropriate clinicians in the community
Attending weekly student support and medical meetings and assess students' needs for counseling
Maintaining records on all students in treatment inclusive of session notes, assessments and recommendations
Being available for dorm parents and teachers during school and evening hours for consultation about students as well as for assessment in times of crisis
Conducting internal investigations when necessary to assure the safety of students and professional conduct of faculty and staff
The ideal candidate will be licensed and have a master's degree in the field (MSW, MA, or equivalent) and five years or more experience, particularly in a boarding school setting, is preferred. Indian Mountain School is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
