Tower Hill School seeks two full time science educators; 1) Biology/Environmental Science Teacher and 2) a qualified AP level Biology/Intro. Biology Teacher
The Biology/Environmental Science Teacher is responsible for the general administration of the Ecological and Sustainability Education Program for grades K-12 at Tower Hill School. In implementing and administering the program, the Coordinator will develop initiatives (which may include garden program, recycling program, contributions to reduction of carbon footprint, green club, etc.). They will advocate for sustainability practices, facilitate interaction and collaboration among various groups on campus, identify, promote and monitor sustainability initiatives, prepare and disseminate information in print and electronic media on and off campus. The successful candidate would also be responsible for teaching a senior level course in sustainability and one class of freshman level biology.
A B.S. in Biology and a background in Environmental Science or a B.S. in Environmental Science with a strong background in Biology are required, but an M.S. would be preferred. This is also a position that would require some previous classroom experience.
The Biology position requires someone with a strong experience teaching an AP level course.
