Sayre School, a Pre-K-12 independent school in Lexington, Ky is currently accepting applications for a Physical Education/Health teacher. Physical Education at Sayre is taught in all three divisions of the school, from Pre-K 2 year olds through freshman year.
The Physical Education Department consists of the department chair and two faculty positions, all of whom teach a full load. The candidate should have a degree in Physical Education(B.A.), a passion for teaching, a willingness for professional growth and collaboration, and an active curiosity about kids and their success. Flexibility and a sense of humor are key.
Job responsibilities and expectations include:
Teaching classes in Physical Education/Health for Pre-School, Elementary, Middle School and High School.
Working collaboratively with Physical Education staff on curriculum
Developing and implementing new curriculum
communicating effectively with students, parents, faculty, coaches, administration
Collaborating Field days for all three divisions
Writing narrative term comments about students
Other duties at the school: chaperoning events, coaching, and extracurricular activities

Established in 1854, Sayre School is an independent PS through 12th grade college preparatory co-educational school located in downtown Lexington, Kentucky. A second campus, comprising a 50-acre athletic complex and farm, is several miles outside of town.
