We currently have an opening for an Administrative Asst./Student Health Aide. This is a part-time position, Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30AM-4:30PM, at an hourly rate of $15/hour. This person would be the central contact for the Upland children, parents, and employees.
Greet visitors in a helpful and courteous manner, representing Upland in a professional manner
Communicate messages from parents to faculty, staff, and administrators
Monitor standard office equipment such as postage meter, copier, fax, and supplies
Handle the emergency intercom system and electronic signage
Sort and post mail
Maintain daily student attendance, dismissal records
Maintain school and transportation calendars
Coordinate daily student bus schedules and communicate with parents, school districts, faculty, and students
Manage the ordering and stocking of first aid and health room supplies, and school-wide stationery supplies.
Health Aide Responsibilities:
Assess students’ health and determine appropriate treatment
Administer oral, inhaled and topical medications to students based upon parent’s permission via medical treatment forms
Maintain student health and basic student information in Magnus database system
Adhere to HIPAA regulations and other confidential/sensitive student information
Work with the Unionville School District Nurse to ensure all current guidelines are being followed.
Minimum of a High School Diploma
Minimum of 5 years administrative experience, preferably in a school environment
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google applications preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Independent worker and ability to multi-task
Strong organizational, documentation and time management skills
Ability to react quickly, calmly, and decisively in a crisis
