Sugar Bowl Academy, a small independent school specializing in the academic and athletic development of competitive skiers, is seeking a full time high school Residential Faculty member beginning in the 2017- 2018 academic year. The Residential Faculty member will be responsible for residential coverage for two shifts a week and two weekends a month; in addition to shared overnight (on-call) coverage with the other on-campus Residential Faculty. Job duties will also include significant involvement within the SBA community beyond the residential building including but not limited to participation in Experiential Education week, in-service and orientation, transporting residents to medical appointments, potential teaching a health/nutrition class, or serving as a substitute teacher when assigned. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree and past residential experience. Previous experience working with adolescents and activity planning is preferred.
Compensation will include a salary commensurate with experience, room and board, a ski pass at Sugar Bowl Resort and Royal Gorge, use of gym, and a benefits package including medical, dental, and vision.
Sugar Bowl Academy is a residential and day school serving 60 students in grades 8-12 located eight miles from the town of Truckee, California.
