The School is seeking a full-time Engineering teacher who can both teach and mentor advanced level Engineering students in the Center of Excellence and teach general level Engineering science electives for grades 9-12. Ideal candidates will have some industry experience and be able to teach computer programming.
Shattuck-St. Mary’s faculty members are expected to be involved with both co-curricular activities and standard residential life duties involved with a residential school setting. Full-time teachers also serve as advisors to a group of students.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or another relevant field; Master’s Degree or industry experience preferred. In addition to considering candidates with traditional classroom teaching experience, we will consider candidates making the transition from industry work.
Candidate will be comfortable instructing in an innovative educational environment, familiar with technology in the classroom, and open to blended teaching.
Candidate will participate in residential life duty, including serving as an adjunct or live-in dorm parent as needed; serve as a student advisor; and lead co-curricular activities.
