Sidwell Friends, a co-educational, PK-12, Quaker day school, seeks applicants for a full-time interim physical education teacher and head varsity coach for multiple sports beginning in the 2017-2018 school year. This position requires the applicant to teach and coach three seasons. Responsibilities include teaching Middle School physical education classes, coaching at least three sports, building a competitive team, organizing and running practices, developing and implementing effective game strategies, supervising and utilizing assistant coaches, and recruiting highly successful student athletes.
Successful candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of successful coaching experience at the collegiate or high school level, and/or in a club setting. A bachelor’s degree and excellent interpersonal and communications skills are also required. Previous recruiting experience is preferred.
