The Campaign Director is responsible for the implementation of a comprehensive campaign, currently in the early planning stages. Working closely with the Director of Advancement, Senior Staff and the campaign counsel, the Campaign Director will help to carry out a fundraising plan in support of campaign priorities, oversee the necessary systems and best practices that will enable this initiative, and monitor fundraising progress.
Implement the campaign in collaboration with the Head Master, Director of Advancement, and Senior Staff.
Partner with the Communications team to facilitate the writing and development of campaign print and electronic collateral materials and coordinate their design and production; integrating campaign milestones into ongoing communication vehicles and public relations outreach
Maintain the campaign calendar.
Serve as the point person for all campaign related events.
Manage campaign record keeping
Analyze fundraising data to evaluate progress towards goals and recommend revisions to the fundraising plan.
Manage campaign policies and best practices, including but not limited to gift accounting and documentation, donor acknowledgement, recognition, and reporting
Run a wide-range of campaign reports to evaluate progress towards goals, track pledges/payments, and monitor the campaign fundraising budget
Serve as the liaison between A&D and the Finance Office for all campaign related accounting
Serve as the point person for all campaign related events, working closely with the Director of Advancement Events
Maintain the campaign proposal queue, working closely with frontline fundraisers and Communications
Strong project management skills, including designing metrics to monitor performance, and motivating a team to achieve goals
Superior organizational abilities and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Tact, sound judgement, and the ability to responsibly handle confidential information
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
3-5 years of experience in a professional fundraising office, with a preference for an educational setting
Familiarity with fundraising software, ideally Millennium
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
Requires ability to move intermittently throughout the day inclusive of sitting, standing, bending, pushing, pulling and moving objects.
Must be physically capable of performing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
