Visitation School seeks an enthusiastic and collaborative Middle School teacher (full time) to begin August of 2017. This position is full-time and will teach courses in one or more area of the humanities (English, Social Studies or Religion), depending on qualifications of the professional hired.
The qualified candidate will possess great curiosity and enjoyment in working with adolescent girls, a passion for humanities education and their content area, a deeply collaborative work style and willingness to teach across disciplinary lines, skill in fostering active and interactive learning environments, and excitement around the use of technology and innovative pedagogy to enhance learning. Experience in an independent school and an advanced degree preferred. In addition, the successful candidate will embrace the school mission and values, striving to cultivate each young heart and mind to, "be who you are, and be that well."
Visitation School is located in Mendota Heights, MN, and includes a child care center, a co-educational Lower School, an all-girls Middle School, and an all-girls Upper School. The average faculty tenure is 11 years, and 80% of our faculty members hold advanced degrees.
