The St. Hilda’s & St. Hugh’s Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement will be responsible for the strategic execution and management of the Annual Fund across all constituencies. He or she will research, identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors to meet and exceed annual financial and participation goals. The Director will also shape the future of the St. Hilda’s & St. Hugh’s alumni program by developing creative and meaningful ways to re-connect alumni with the School and with each other.
The Director is a critical member of the Development team and shares responsibility for building relationships with external and internal constituents and growing philanthropic support for St. Hilda’s & St. Hugh’s. In carrying out this role, he or she will work closely with colleagues in the Development and Communications Offices as well as with board members, alumni, volunteers, students and faculty. He or she will develop a keen understanding of the School’s history and traditions. The Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement will report to the Director of Development.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Five years experience in alumni relations and/or annual giving. Independent school experience preferred
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated skill in gift solicitation
Facility with Microsoft Office suite, fundraising software and databases required.
Experience in identifying, training and managing volunteers
Proven ability to handle a diverse portfolio of responsibility, to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines
Fluency in social media platforms and experience in analytics
The ability to be flexible and proactive, to work independently as well as collaboratively
Possessed of great integrity and tact and able to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
Additional Salary Information: Salary commensurate with experience.
