The Pingry School seeks a dynamic educational leader who is passionate about the elementary school age group to serve as the Fifth Grade Science and Homeroom Teacher. Homeroom responsibilities include, but are not limited to, serving as the advisor for sixteen homeroom students, meeting with parents for formal and informal conferences, and other duties that may be assigned during the course of the school year.
The candidate must possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, a global collaboration mindset and an appreciation for the School's commitment to academic and personal excellence. Experience in promoting inquiry based learning and integrated STEAM (opportunities) with an emphasis on problem based learning, (background) in researching, developing, and implementing curriculum that incorporates science, technology and literacy and applying the use of robotics and computational thinking into the classroom experience is essential.
Desirable candidates must demonstrate an interest in professional development opportunities that will promote growth, working in a one to one learning environment utilizing Chromebooks, engaging in vertical and horizontal collaboration with colleagues within teams and across divisions.
