Moravian Academy is seeking an innovative, organized, and experienced part-time teacher for two or three sections of middle school Mathematics. This teacher will be responsible for designing and implementing Math curriculum for courses in a collaborative department of colleagues. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established program and to work with a dedicated team of professionals teaching students critical thinking and mathematics concepts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach two or three sections of mathematics;
Facilitate hands-on exploration, student collaboration and problem-solving; integrate innovative pedagogical practices into the curriculum;
Create meaningful partnerships with parents and families, including regular communications through school-supplied online tools, emails, and phone calls;
Participate in professional collaboration with departmental colleagues;
Assess and provide feedback to students and parents during comment and grading periods.

Collaborates with teachers within the department and school;

A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field required; Master’s degree preferred;
Three to five years of teaching experience;
Preference will be given to applicants with a previous background in independent schools or similar college-preparatory programs;
Proficiency in digital tools for collaborative, student-centered learning.
